Description for Diamond LakeDiamond Lake in southwest Oregon has been managed by the ODFW to be a superb rainbow trout fishery. The ODFW has removed rough fish in order to sustain the rainbow trout population and it has proven successful with rainbows averaging around a pound and larger fish heading into double digits. The lake is stocked as it lacks the necessary spawning habitat but the abundance of aquatic insects allows these fish to put on the weight. The lake is accessible for bank anglers and boats alike (there are multiple ramps positioned around the lake). The lake is open all year and offers both seasonal fishing and exceptional ice fishing during the colder months.
